Pyramid Anode
BSS Technologies manufactures advanced Pyramid ICCP Anodes featuring a four-vaned MMO titanium assembly mounted on a high-density, waterproof concrete base for negative buoyancy and seabed stability across offshore platforms, well casings, and jetty structures.

Seabed-Stable Impressed Current Cathodic Protection for Offshore Assets
Deepwater jacket structures, offshore well casings, subsea pipelines, and marine jetty piling require reliable, CP capable of withstanding harsh wave action and seabed currents. BSS Technologies custom-engineers and manufactures the Pyramid Anodes inhouse at our manufacturing unit. Utilizing a four-vaned mixed metal oxide (MMO) titanium anode mounted on a heavy, waterproof concrete base, the Pyramid Anode provides negative buoyancy and seabed stability, delivering a standard and stable current output.
What is Pyramid ICCP Anode?
The Pyramid Anode is a specialized subsea ICCP anode designed for seabed installation where mounting directly to offshore structures is difficult or restricted. It features a central titanium rod with four TIG-welded Mixed Metal Odide (MMO) Coated vanes. This element is securely mounted on a high-density, waterproof concrete base to provide negative buoyancy, ensuring stability against severe bottom currents.
Unlike conventional retrofits that require costly diver operations or hyperbaric welding, the BSS Tech Pyramid Anode uses engineered mechanical water seals instead of temporary resins. Supplied fully pre-assembled with a double-armoured submarine cable, contractors can simply lower the unit onto the seabed using integrated lifting points. The cable is then terminated topside at the rectifier, drastically reducing installation time and field costs.

Targeted Pyramid Anode Applications
BSS Technologies Pyramid Anodes are built for marine environments where attaching CP systems directly to offshore structures is structurally difficult or cost-prohibitive. Combining a MMO titanium element with a heavy concrete base allows these units to sit securely on the seabed, performing reliably even under severe bottom currents.
This drop-in design is ideal for rapid subsea retrofits and congested harbour installations. Whether deployed next to aging offshore jackets to replace depleted sacrificial anodes, or placed along quay walls out of the path of maritime traffic, they deliver powerful corrosion control where conventional welded systems are impractical.

Key Advantages of BSS Tech Pyramid Anode

Negative Buoyancy & Seabed Stability
Heavy, broad-base concrete pyramid prevents overturning, sliding, or movement under heavy wave action and bottom currents.

Rapid & Cost-Effective Installation
Pre-assembled unit is lowered to the seabed using a crane, eliminating underwater diver welding, epoxy mixing, and site assembly labor.

Resin-Free Mechanical Water Seals
Engineered mechanical seals prevent water ingress at high subsea pressures without relying on degradable resins or mastics.

High 150A Current Output
Four-vaned MMO titanium top piece maximizes surface area, discharging 150 Amperes of current from a single compact seabed footprint.

25+ Year Operational Lifespan
Dimensionally stable MMO titanium vanes maintain constant geometry and low operating voltage over 25+ years of continuous service.
